At Senjoy Mahjong, we make American Mahjong sets for people who love the game and the stories that gather around it. Our collections combine original artwork, expressive color, and thoughtful acrylic craftsmanship.

Our workshop and our point of view

Our team works in Taixing, China, a city with a long Mahjong-making tradition. We built a workshop to develop American Mahjong sets and stay close to the practical details of making them. Sixth Tone visited the Senjoy team and reported on our founder, our workshop, the production challenges we have worked through, and our commitment to original design.

Our team has also been interviewed by NPR about Senjoy Mahjong.

That experience shapes our approach. A beautiful idea has to become a playable set, so we pay attention to dimensions, artwork alignment, legibility, finish, and how the complete collection feels at the table.
