Each set begins with the material itself.

Suitable bovine bone is carefully selected before every tile is individually joined, shaped, and polished by hand.

The craftspeople continue working each surface until the joins are nearly invisible and the tile develops its characteristic smooth, substantial finish.

Only then does the painting begin.

Traditional figures, characters, and suit details are applied one tile at a time, transforming the natural bone into a complete Mahjong set filled with color and storytelling.
