Senjoy Mahjong Interviewed by The Independent: Original Design, Custom Possibilities

Every mahjong set has a story. Ours begins with a love of the game, a passion for original design, and the belief that the tiles on your table should feel as special as the people gathered around it.

We’re excited to share that Senjoy Mahjong was interviewed by The Independent, the UK news publication. It’s a meaningful milestone for our brand and an opportunity to introduce more people to our approach to American mahjong: original acrylic sets with a distinctive point of view, alongside factory customization services for those ready to create something of their own.

Original Designs, Made for Your Table

At Senjoy Mahjong, we see mahjong as more than a game. It’s a reason to gather, a tradition to share, and a little space in the week for good company.

That spirit shapes our original acrylic American mahjong sets. We bring a fresh design perspective to a game with deep cultural roots, creating sets for players who appreciate both the tradition and the beauty of the table.

Whether you’re hosting your regular mahjong group, choosing a thoughtful gift, or finding your first set, we want your choice to feel personal. Something you’re excited to bring out, play with, and make part of your own traditions.

From Original Collections to Custom Creations

Sometimes, the set you have in mind doesn’t exist yet. That’s where a custom conversation begins.

Alongside our original designs, Senjoy Mahjong offers factory customization services. If you have a concept for a custom mahjong project, we welcome the opportunity to discuss your ideas and explore what can be made.

Perhaps you’re imagining a set for your community, a special occasion, or a brand project. The starting point is your vision. From there, we can discuss the project’s requirements, available customization options, and production details.

Every custom project is different. Design feasibility, quantities, pricing, and timing are confirmed individually, so you can understand the possibilities before moving forward.

A Milestone We’re Proud to Share

Being interviewed by The Independent gives us a moment to celebrate how far Senjoy Mahjong has come, and to thank the players, customers, and creative collaborators who are part of our story.

Our focus remains the same: to bring our own creative voice to American mahjong and help more people discover a set that feels like theirs.

To everyone who has welcomed Senjoy Mahjong to their table, thank you. We’re excited for the games, gatherings, and new ideas still to come.
